Letting AI write my learning notes

I was recently looking at some of the notes in my claude-cs learning project (a project for learning CS fundamentals with Claude), which I was actively working on a few months back. I realised that I don’t remember most of what is written at all. Truth be told, most of it was written by AI, not by me.

I thought I was being careful with using AI, making sure to think through things before asking. I let AI do the notes and summarising of my learnings, because I already did the hard part of learning. Or so I thought.

Reading the AI generated summaries made it feel like learning was happening when it was fresh, but it wasn’t. Now going back through the notes and summaries, they look foreign to me.

I’m going to be writing my own summaries/notes when learning from now on.
